For skin infections, the recommended dose involves applying the cream twice daily, gently rubbing it into the affected area while keeping the skin clean and dry. Typically, treatment lasts for 2 to 4 weeks. If your symptoms persist after 4 weeks, it’s important to discuss this with your doctor for further guidance. While using Pevaryl thrush treatment cream, it’s essential to be aware of potential side effects, although not everyone experiences them. If you notice any of the following, discontinue use of Pevaryl anti fungal cream otc, and promptly inform your doctor: severe skin irritation or redness, signs of allergy such as swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat leading to difficulty in swallowing or breathing, skin rash or hives, or peeling or blistering of the skin. Additionally, common side effects affecting more than 1 in 100 patients may include mild itching or redness of the treated area. If these symptoms persist for more than a few minutes or worsen, inform your doctor or pharmacist. Less common side effects affecting fewer than 1 in 100 patients may include redness or swelling of the treated area, as well as discomfort in the treated area.
