Each 5 ml of this product contains 1.85 g of glucose and 1.71 g of sucrose, which may potentially harm teeth. If you have a sugar intolerance, it’s crucial to consult your doctor before using this medicine. This consideration is especially important for patients with diabetes. The carbohydrate content per 5 ml is 3.85 g. Additionally, each 5 ml dose contains 5 mg of alcohol (ethanol), equivalent to less than 1 ml of beer or wine, which is unlikely to produce noticeable effects. Furthermore, this medicine contains 24 mg of propylene glycol per 5 ml, equivalent to 4.8 mg/ml, as well as 10 mg of sodium benzoate (E211). The sodium content is negligible, with less than 1 mmol per 5 ml, making it essentially ‘sodium-free’. It is safe to use this medicine during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
