Optrex Infected Eye Drops

Optrex Infected Eye Drops contain chloramphenicol, an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections on the front surfaces of the eye. The most common infection in this area is acute bacterial conjunctivitis. However, chloramphenicol eye drops are not suitable for treating infections that have spread to the deeper layers of the eye or into the fluid within the eyeball, which require antibiotic tablets or injections for treatment.

To apply Optrex Infected Eye Drops properly, start by ensuring the seal is intact before use. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly, then remove the plastic cap from the eyedrop tip. Tilt your head back while seated or lie down on your back. Gently pull down the lower eyelid and look up. Hold the bottle tip close to your eye, being careful not to let it touch your eye, the skin around your eye, or your fingers. Squeeze the bottle gently, allowing one drop to fall into the space between the lower eyelid and the eye. Close your eye for a moment after application. If both eyes need treatment, repeat the process for the other eye. Remember to replace the cap immediately after use.
