Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

Lymecycline should be taken once a day with water, preferably in the morning.

Each evening before going to bed, apply a thin layer of Epiduo gel to the affected area.

Epiduo gel has the potential to bleach any fabric it comes into contact with, as well as the hair, so be sure to thoroughly wash your hands after use.

Lymecycline, as an antibiotic, works by killing the bacteria that cause acne in the first place.

Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide are two of the active ingredients in Epiduo gel. These work together to disrupt the skin processes that cause acne while also softening and peeling the skin and acting as an antimicrobial agent.

This combination package of acne treatments is most likely to be effective for people who have mild to moderate acne with larger spots and lumps (nodules/cysts).

It could take up to four weeks before you notice a difference in your skin.

Lymecycline can cause side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, headaches, and stomach pain.

Redness, dryness, skin peeling, and a mild burning sensation may occur as a result of using Epiduo gel.

See the patient information leaflets for Lymecycline and Epiduo gel for more information on side effects and proper use.

You should not take either medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
