Co-cyprindiol and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel

Benzoyl Peroxide gel (generic Acnecide) should be applied to clean, dry skin once or twice daily. If you have sensitive skin, you should probably only use it once a day.

Co-cyprindiol (also known as Dianette or Clairette) should be taken at the same time every day for 21 days, beginning on the first day of your period, and then followed by a seven-day break. When taken in this manner, it also serves as a form of contraception.

Benzoyl Peroxide gel inhibits the production of oil, which clogs pores and causes acne. It also dissolves blackheads and whiteheads and kills acne-causing bacteria.

Co-cyprindiol is an oral contraceptive that combines Cyproterone and Ethinylestradiol to block the hormones that cause acne.

It may take up to four weeks for the treatment to take effect, but Co-cyprindiol is likely to work for women who suffer from hormonal acne. Both treatments are most effective for people who have papules and pustules, which are both sore red spots with white tips filled with pus.

Because Benzoyl Peroxide gel can dry out the affected area, if you have sensitive skin, you should limit the number of times you apply the topical solution each week.

Benzoyl Peroxide gel can cause peeling, redness, irritation, and dryness in the affected area. Because the medication increases sensitivity to sunlight and sunbeds, you must use an SPF of at least 30. It is also worth noting that Benzoyl Peroxide gel bleaches towels and bed linen as well as hair.

Co-cyprindiol, like most contraceptives, can cause breast tenderness, weight gain, headaches, mood swings, and nausea.
